The Twin City suite, located on the garden and parking lot level, is decorated in the tradition of a quaint, English country courtyard, and it features two queen-size, four-poster beds, as well as a roll-away bed in the massive closet. The separate living area has a couch and chair for relaxing and a desk for remote work. There is also a refrigerator, microwave, wet bar and coffee maker, as well as a counter with two bar stools if you opt to stay in for your meals. The en-suite bath features a spacious shower and pedestal sink.

The Shaffner has retained historic charm while expanding to include modern amenities such as free WiFi, 43” smart, flat-screen TVs, alarm/clock and USB charging stations. For your convenience, we also provide complimentary face wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, as well as an iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. In addition, you will have access to comfortable common areas indoors and outdoors, as well as a private parking lot.

Built in 1907 as the private residence of Henry Fries Shaffner, the co-founder of Wachovia Loan and Trust, this extravagant Victorian-style mansion boasts Tiger oak hand-carved paneling, original coal-burning fireplaces, a grand staircase and priceless antiques.
